THE BOOK OF LIFE
OH MAN I WAITED SO LONG AND IT WAS SOOO WORTH IT If you had any concerns about whether to see it or not, DO IT. You’ll be a richer person having done so
La Muerte tho, my perfect goddess, I am not worthy omfg she’s the best character in anything ever, I mean I love everything about this movie but oh my god. I hope Legacy comes out with a figurine, I don’t care how much it is, I have to have it.
Post for today: Carmen! Again, character designed by Sandra Equihua, I just do orthos / 3/4 view paint based off of her original art.
Her skirt was originally made of tiered wood like this, but was changed, I assume for animation purposes. Again, fun to paint this one because she is so colorful and varied in materials/detailing.
Should really be going to bed but oh well. Just finished my take on Tiana. LOVE HER DRESS SO SO MUCH!!!!! >w< Hope you all like.
i think this could be useful for the people who is not totally sure about spend their money in this movie, it has their good and bad points, but generally is a great movie, so please, let’s show them that “An Hispanic story” can be as good as any other one, or even better!.
The Book of Life showing you how it’s DONE RIGHT.
"Sacrifice is my favorite thing in a movie: what are people willing to sacrifice for the good of others. The idea of the Book of Life is that there’s this book that has everyone’s story in it - every story ever told is in this book. Our hero, when he goes through his chapter, finds his pages empty because he’s not living the life that others wrote for him and he’s not living the life that was destined for him, he’s writing his own story. That’s the main theme of the movie. No matter who your father is, who your family is or where you come from, what you do is what will determine who you really are." - Jorge Gutierrez
